AWS Case

Case and key opening with weighted item, weapon, cash and vehicle rewards.

Installation

Requirements

  • qb-core, ox_inventory, ox_lib and oxmysql.
  • Your configured player_vehicles schema for vehicle rewards.

Startup order

This example selects one framework and target. Use the resources matching your configuration and start dependencies first.

ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
ensure qb-core
ensure ox_inventory
ensure aws-case

Setup steps

  1. Merge install/ox_inventory_items.lua into the ox_inventory item table; install/qb-core_items.lua is a table fragment for the QB shared item list.
  2. Review shared/items.lua and config.lua for matching case and key names. Copy any item images used by your inventory.
  3. Configure vehicle garage/schema values before enabling vehicle reward cases.

Gameplay and usage

  1. Use a configured case item with its matching key.
  2. Authorized staff can use /aws_givecase; inspect its permission check before granting access.

Configuration

  • config.lua: Cases, Keys, Rarities, OpenCooldown and reward timings.
  • DefaultGarage and vehicle-state fields must match your garage resource; a vehicle record alone does not install a garage.

Exports and integrations

  • aws-case.useCase — see aws-case/client/main.lua for its arguments and client/server context.
  • aws-case.GiveCase — see aws-case/server/main.lua for its arguments and client/server context.

Troubleshooting

  • Test wrong/missing keys, full inventory and reconnect during the animation.

  • Check vehicle ownership and garage visibility for vehicle rewards.

  • Include the package version, framework and exact server/F8 error when requesting support. Remove private tokens and player data.

Package reference

Frequently asked questions

Does this need Keymaster or an escrow key?

The Lua sources in this delivery package were readable in the static audit. No /assetpacks requirement is added by this package. Required framework, inventory and map resources still need to be installed separately.

Can I change the folder or database table names?

Keep the supplied folder names. Historical event, SQL and KVP identifiers are retained to protect existing integrations and saved data. Renaming a table or event requires a separate migration.

Why is an interface or item missing?

Check the startup order, selected framework/target adapter, inventory item definitions and the server/F8 console. The package does not install an entire framework or inventory for you.

Has this been tested on my server?

ZIP integrity, source readability, script syntax and manifest references were checked locally. Multiplayer gameplay, your framework version and integrations require a FiveM server acceptance test before a public release.
