🌟 Key Features

  • Smart Sound Engine: The script automatically dampens (muffles) the music if the boombox is inside a building or inside a vehicle with the windows rolled up! It feels incredibly realistic.
  • Multiple Boombox Models: Comes natively with two custom items: A modern JBL speaker that you carry in your hand, and a Classic Retro Boombox you carry flawlessly on your shoulder with custom animations!
  • Extra Props (Animations): The retro boombox automatically equips cool sunglasses to your character when you carry it, enhancing the roleplay vibe!
  • Categorized Music GUI: A sleek, fully colorful UI that categorizes music (Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, K-Pop, etc.). Very easy to use.
  • In-Game Admin Panel: Admins can manage boomboxes, delete stuck/forgotten ones across the city, and moderate with a dedicated command (/boomboxadmin).

πŸ› οΈ Installation

Follow these easy steps to get the Boombox running on your FiveM server.

1. Database

Run the install.sql file provided in the folder against your server database. This saves all the boombox songs so they persist on server restarts!

2. Items Configuration

You need to add our customized boombox items to your server's inventory system. (If you have auto-metadata items, simply ensure they are in your item list!)

If you use ox_inventory:

	['boombox'] = { label = 'JBL Speaker', weight = 2000, stack = false, close = true },
	['boombox_retro'] = { label = 'Retro Boombox', weight = 2500, stack = false, close = true },

If you use qb-inventory:

    ['boombox'] = {['name'] = 'boombox', ['label'] = 'JBL Speaker', ['weight'] = 2000, ['type'] = 'item', ['image'] = 'boombox.png', ['unique'] = true, ['useable'] = true, ['shouldClose'] = true, ['combinable'] = nil, ['description'] = 'A modern Bluetooth speaker.'},
    ['boombox_retro'] = {['name'] = 'boombox_retro', ['label'] = 'Retro Boombox', ['weight'] = 2500, ['type'] = 'item', ['image'] = 'boombox_retro.png', ['unique'] = true, ['useable'] = true, ['shouldClose'] = true, ['combinable'] = nil, ['description'] = 'Classic 80s shoulder boombox.'},

3. Server Startup

Add the start command to your server.cfg:
